Spurs Odyssey Reviews the Premiership Season
for 2005-2006 - Match 7

How many days is it since………..?

• 16,000+ - since Blackburn last beat Man Utd at Old Trafford (3-0 in October 1962)

• 2858 – since Everton were last bottom of the Premiership. This was on November 29th 1997, after Spurs beat them 2-0 at Goodison Park, with goals from Ramon Vega and David Ginola. It was Christian Gross’s first game in charge.

• 1005 – since Sunderland’s previous Premiership win. (Home v Liverpool 2-1 on December 15th 2002)

• 960 – Miller’s second minute goal for Sunderland at The Riverside was their first away Premiership goal since February 8th 2003. (Kevin Phillips in 4-1 defeat at Tottenham)

• 343 – since Chelsea’s last Premiership defeat. (0-1 at Manchester City October 16th 2004)

• 273 – since Portsmouth’s last Premiership away win. (1-0 at Crystal Palace 26.12.04)

• 145 – since Arsenal’s last away Premiership win. (2-0 at West Brom 02.05.05)

• 132 – since Chelsea conceded a goal previous to Luke Moore’s goal for Villa this week-end – and that was a Geremi own goal in a 1-1 draw at home to Newcastle on the last day of the season!

• 34 – since Wigan’s last defeat. They have won 3 and drawn 1 of their last 4 games to defy those who made them favourites for relegation. Their victors were Charlton on 28th August. Wigan are a quarter of the way to survival already!

• Who knows how long it is since Bolton played any entertaining football! (only joking Sam!)
