Spurs Odyssey Reviews the Premiership Season
for 2013-2014 - Match 34

Eriksen is the man!

Christian Eriksen was our man of the match last Saturday. Christian has been voted our best player for the last two games, and three out of the last four matches. It's no wonder, when you bear in mind he has scored 6 goals in his last 8 games for Spurs!

Eriksen was our player of the month in September, when he was playing his early games, and also last month. He is leading the race for the April award with two games remaining.

The last time we came back from a three goal deficit was in our 125th anniversary game at home to Aston Villa on October 1st, 2007. Younes Kaboul and Aaron Lennon played in both games. Kaboul was involved in a negative fashion in last Saturday's game, with that poor back-header that led to the "Baggies'" third goal, but against Villa, he was the hero firing that late, late equaliser into the roof of the net.

Spurs, whose last six form guide reads LLWLWD, would give a lot for the recent form of Crystal Palace, who have won their last four games, including a win over Chelsea, and now an away win over Champions League hopefuls Everton.

No doubt there are still one or two twists and turns left in the Premier League run-in, but the best Tim Sherwood can surely hope for is to secure a place in the Europa League.

Our next opponents - Fulham - have also hit a bit of form, winning their last two games, and will be looking for a third win on Saturday.
