Spurs Centre-Half Revival?
|
|
Spurs Odyssey has heard that the much-needed revival of some of our centre-halves is under way. Yesterday we were advised that 18 year old Dorian Dervite would be playing a part in tonight’s reserve game at Craven Cottage (kick off 7 p.m). Dervite made a great impression last season when he played for the Academy side, the Reserves and made a great first team debut against Port Vale in the Carling Cup.
Sadly, Dervite suffered a devastating cruciate knee injury that has kept him out of action so far this season apart from one attempted come-back a few weeks ago for the Reserves.
Now I hear that two other injured centre-backs may appear for the Reserves tonight. None other than Ledley King and Ricardo Rocha! If true this would be great news for all at Spurs. It is of course doubtful that any of these three would be fit enough for the Anderlecht game, or even Man City this week-end, but any one of them could slip into the first team and do a great job to shore up our defensive frailties that have so affected the team this season.
Look out for the Official Site’s Squad announcement later this afternoon, but more importantly the exclusive Spurs Odyssey report later today!”
