That two and a half week break before the Middlesbrough game seems to have done no good at all, after Spurs' goal-filled February. Amazingly, the one goal in our favour this month was scored by an opponent, so thanks go to Andy O'Brien (pictured right) for doing us a favour at home to Newcastle. This dearth of goals for Spurs comes despite the inclusion in two games of three of our strikers, Keane, Defoe and Kanoute. In fact, David Pleat has now admitted that he is struggling to find the correct balance in the side; yet another piece of evidence that we need a new manager as soon as possible.
Every fixture on the run-in is going to be tough, as we face challengers or strugglers - all of whom will be desperate and capable of beating us. Still, I'm hoping that Easter could be fruitful for Spurs this year. It's about time we had a decent return at a holiday time!
Marks for unforced errors and score ratio were both below average, which is unforgiveable really, and the other assessments were moderate too. Performance levels were worse than last month, but did improve on March last year, which was the most disastrous figure since the inception of the "Spursometer".
I have found it impossible to pick a "Player of the Month" this time, so chose to feature that goal by O'Brien.
