It is a fact that in three Premiership games this month, Spurs have failed to score, and also failed to win, of course. Thus, with our first defeat, we have seen a slide down the table to a position that most fans would accept as progress at the end of the season, but now that we have had our appetites tempted, we fancy having a crack at UEFA qualification, don't we?
Let's remember the positives though - Paul Robinson, Ledley King and Jermain Defoe acquitted themselves superbly for England at the start of the month, we have defended supremely throughout, and we did score 6 against Oldham in the Carling Cup! We have also had some tough opposition in the opening exchanges, from which we have emerged with credit, and we have to hope that we can pick up some points from the next few games, starting with Everton!
I have to make the player of the month a defender, and that has to be Ledley King for his consistency throughout.
