Man City are on pretty good form right now, although they suffered a set-back at home to Charlton after their memorable 3-1 win over United early last month. Anelka has scored 8 league goals for them, and the City team has "fed the goat" (Sean Goater), who has also scored 5 league goals so far. A good game of football is in prospect, surely tomorrow night, as no Kevin Keegan side seems able to resist the temptation to go forward in numbers.
Spurs of course will feel optimistic on the back of their impressive performance against Arsenal, and Glenn Hoddle does have almost his whole squad to pick from. Even goalkeeper Neil Sullivan has returned from his thumb injury, although Kasey Keller will take some shifting from the number 1 slot.
I expect Spurs to start with the team that started last time out. I do not share Brian Judson's pessimism, and expect plenty of goals, predicting a Spurs win by the odd goal. My report will be posted around midday on Christmas Eve.
