Shearer has scored 14 goals this season, 12 of which have been in the league. Last year, Dean Richards did a good job on him, but Dean is doubtful for this game with an Achilles problem. Craig Bellamy is set to return, and his pace can upset any team, so Spurs will be vulnerable to his spurts.
The big question for Spurs is who will start up front with Robbie Keane? I think that Steffen Iversen and Les Ferdinand will be in the frame after their efforts against Charlton on Boxing Day. With almost all the 52,000 full house baying for the Toon, I cannot predict a win for Spurs, but we are capable of getting a draw. I fancy there to be goals, and shall go for a 2-2.
A win for Spurs would lift us above the Magpies, and depending on the other results, we could go even higher!
