History created as another Allen scores for Tottenham!

A little bit of history was repeated at Spurs Lodge today, when, for only the second time in our club's history, a member of a third generation of the same family played in Spurs colours. Who was that player, I hear you ask? It was a member of the famous Allen family. Yes, Ollie Allen, son of Clive and Grandson of Les, not only played in the famous Lilywhite and Blue, but he also scored the third of five goals scored by the under-17s at The Lodge this morning. Ollie is on trial with Spurs from "our feeder club" West Ham, and it is only a couple of weeks since he scored AGAINST Spurs for the Hammers' Under-19s! Ollie came on during the second half, replacing Claude "Steff" Seanla to partner Simon Dawkins up front.

Three generations of the same family have represented Spurs once before. Ron Henry was a member of the famous Double winning side. (Look out for his picture when my report on the induction of Bill Nicholson to the Spurs Hall of Fame is published later this week-end) Ron's son, Stephen did play for us at Schoolboy level, and of course grandson Ronnie was only recently released by the club, having represented us at Reserve level, and even made it as far as the first team bench a couple of years ago.

Spurs under-17s beat Fulham 5-1 today, and Ray Lo's exclusive report will be published later today. The under-19s beat Bristol City 2-1 away this morning with goals from Jamie O'Hara, who impressed at Milton Keynes on Wednesday night, and highly rated defender Charlie Lee.

Once again, Spurs Odyssey has beaten the official site to an important piece of Youth team news, without the aid of team sheets! If any Fulham fan who was present at Spurs Lodge is able to forward the details of their players, then Spurs Odyssey would be very grateful!
