Chivers and Beal hold court
|
|
Spurs Odyssey was represented last night (Friday 24th March, 2006) at The Lord Rookwood P.H., Leytonstone, where Spurs legends Martin Chivers and Phil Beal held court to a select band of committed fans, who were privileged to hear great stories and experiences from two players from the Bill Nicholson era.
Both "Chiv" and Beal were a part of the set-up when we won the League Cup in 71 and 73, and also the UEFA Cup in 1972. They both play a full part in Spurs Hospitality suites these days, so I'm hoping I win the lottery and can afford to get in there some time!
The picture above shows the men in question. On the left is your webmaster, and between Phil and Martin is Spurs Odyssey member, Cassim Patel. Thanks to my friends Bruce and Elaine Lewis for the picture.
