Jermaine Jenas scored his seventh goal of last season in this match last year, and his second against Man Utd! The two teams that meet on Sunday afternoon in front of Sky's cameras have one thing in common. They have both come away from the Emirates stadium feeling disappointed in the last two weeks. United were ahead until the last ten minutes, when our local rivals scored those two late goals to send Sir Alex Ferguson home in a grumpy mood, after his side's third defeat in the Premiership. Those defeats have all come against London teams. Once at West Ham, when the bubble-blowers thought they were witnessing re-birth under Alan Curbishley, and twice by Arsenal!

United bounced back with their FA Cup victory over Portsmouth, then during the week with a 4-0 win over Premiership minnows Watford. Significantly, Wayne Rooney has returned to form, with four goals in the last three games. Rooney's spat with team-mate Ronaldo in the World Cup has been forgotten by all except away fans everywhere, as Ronaldo has hit top form throughout the season, and must be a candidate for Premiership player of the season, with a total of 14 goals, and plenty of assists. He has answered the baying fans in the best possible way.

It's a big, big question to ask if Spurs can bounce back from their defeat at The Emirates. There is some great news on the team front, as Dimitar Berbatov is in the squad, and Aaron Lennon will be fit again. Jermaine Jenas has had an ankle worry, but will also be in the squad. Jenas scored our goals against United in last season's games, when we drew at Old Trafford, but lost here. In September this season, we failed to recover from Ryan Giggs early goal, scored when Paul Robinson decided against having a wall for Ronaldo's free kick, then parried the shot, which popped up handily for Giggs to head home.

We have heard the bad news that Ledley King will now be missing for a further 6 to 8 weeks, and must hope that all his problems are finally resolved. There is a little confusion about suspensions, and I am sure that Hossam Ghaly will have to miss out, due to five bookings, but some sources also suggest Mido will be out. As far as I am aware, Mido only has 4 bookings, but with Berbatov fit, it is probably only a technicality anyway. I do wonder if the authorities have their Hossams mixed up!

My friend and fellow webmaster, Jim Duggan has written a great piece about this fixture and the state of affairs at Spurs, which I am happy to recommend to you.

Our record against United in the Premiership is nothing short of pathetic, and as usual, we expect a "great game of football". In fact, it would be a fantasy if we could beat this United team, which has nearly double our points tally (although we do have a game in hand!). Speaking of fantasy, I admit to several of the United players featuring in my fantasy team, so I shall have mixed feelings this week in one sense, as the goals are bound to go in. My dream would be to see a Spurs win. I think we will get a performance, but my head tells me that United, and my Fantasy Team will be the winners. I even fear it could be 3-1.

Do you know, I wrote this preview, and suddenly realised I hadn't mentioned former Spur Michael Carrick, from whose sale we profited handsomely financially, but from whose absence we have arguably suffered. Personally, I don't miss him as much as others, and can honestly say I didn't notice his name mentioned once the last time I watched him in a United shirt. That said, I would rather he had stayed at Spurs, but I'll be giving him a neutral reception on Sunday, and not the boos that will probaly reverberate around the ground.

COME ON YOU SPURS! RESTORE OUR PRIDE! I DARE YOU TO DO IT! (Sound familiar?)
