I won't write too much about this leg of the tie, but wanted to start by including this message I received from the Cyprus Spurs Supporters' Club:- · Cyprus Spurs Supporters' Club Website

"Please note I'm Akis of the Cyprus Spurs Supporters Club. The only officially recognised Spurs fan club in Cyprus.

If anyone is travelling to Cyprus, the majority of our members will be stopping off at The Meeting Pub, on the Larnaca seafront, before heading off to the stadium. We will look forward to meeting you there or at the stadium..

Yours sincerely

Akis Chrysostomou

Vice-Chairman CSSC"

Spurs travel to Cyprus with the luxury of a five goal lead, and surely the chance to blood squad players such as Adel Taarabt and Kevin-Prince Boateng, neither of whom were in the Reserves squad that drew against Arsenal last night.

It would be ideal for Martin Jol to be able to rest one or more of his central defenders, and unless Anthony Gardner is fit, then maybe Dawson and Kaboul will have to play. Paul Stalteri is fit so could fill one of those positions if necessary, but Jol won't want to be too cavalier about the tie.

Our hosts are now top of their league after 4 games, having won 3 and drawn 1 so far. They have drawn and won the two games played since the match at White Hart Lane, with Zlogar getting on the scoresheet again, along with Sosin and Deyanov.

Defoe and Bent are surely the most likely strikers to start this game, and despite the absence of first choice players, I would expect Spurs to come out on top again by two or three goals this time.

I shall not be travelling to this game, but hope to give a "TV-Eye" report on proceedings.
