Spurs goal scorers Keane and Berbatov celebrate last week in Prague Not a lot has happened to the two teams since last week's match in Prague. Spurs had a rest week-end, due to their absence from the fifth round of the FA Cup (along with most other Premier League teams!), whilst Slavia Prague resumed their domestic league campaign with a 1-0 win over mid-table side Ceske Budejovice. The Prague goal was scored by midfielder Jaroslav Cerny, who played the supporting striker role in our game. Cerny was making his league debut for Slavia, and scored against his old team! Only 2,339 watched Sunday's game, so despite the spaces in the Starhov Stadium, the additional interest generated by Spurs was only too evident! Slavia lead their league table by 5 points, so are in good shape to make the Champions League qualifiers next season, whatever happens to them tomorrow.

I thought it might be of interest to comment on a few of the other games in the "Round of 32", that will also be decided tomorrow.

The main interest for Spurs of course is in the Helsingborg v PSV Eidnhoven game. If successful, Spurs will meet the winners of this game, with the home leg on Thursday March 6th, and the away leg on either Wednesday 12th/Thursday 13th March. PSV are 2-0 up, and strong favourites to get through, but even if Spurs do win, you'd better be careful about your travel arrangements, as who knows when that second leg would be played! PSV's goals were scored from a 7th minute penalty by Belgian Timmy Simons, and another first half goal by striker Danko Lazovic. Helsingborg are from Sweden and yet to start league action at home.

Other teams well-placed to go through after convincing first leg wins are Marseille, Werder Bremen, Hamburg, and Everton. Sporting Lisbon beat Christian Gross's Basel 2-0 in Portugal and also look likely qualifiers for the 4th Round.

Bayern Munich drew 2-2 at Aberdeen, and the second leg will be watched avidly by many Scottish fans. Our fellow group qualifiers Getafe (who also beat us at The Lane on Martin Jol's last night in charge) drew 1-1 to AEK in Athens, whilst Anderlecht were grateful to Mpenza for a 90th minute goal to give them a slender 2-1 lead to take to Bordeaux.

As you can see, plenty of good teams await us in the next round, if we can finish the job tomorrow night. If we play as well as we did for the first 60 minutes last week, there should be no problem. With Wembley on the horizon, team selection is a dilemma for Juande Ramos, but I bet we don't see Ledley King tomorrow!

There have been rumours that Paul Robinson will get a chance to re-establish himself as first choice keeper tomorrow night. Radek Cerny's gaffe last week provides that opportunity. A performance by Robbo will give Ramos another (pleasant) selection problem for the Chelsea game. The trouble is we don't want our keeper to have the sort of game to make an impression, do we?

I fancy a good win (3-1) for Spurs, and hopefully opportunities to rest key players before too much of the game has passed.
