Tottenham betting tips : Spurs betting odds

Back Spurs to win the FA Cup

Thirteen games. That is how many matches it took Tottenham Hotspur to lose their first Premier League game of the 2016-17 campaign, falling 2-1 away at London rivals Chelsea.

It was a result that leaves Spurs fifth in the table, four points from a Champions League place and seven points behind Chelsea, the current league leaders. Bovada has now pegged the odds of Tottenham winning the Premier League to +2500, fifth favourites.

Spurs celebrate against Man City

Five wins in their first seven league games, including a comprehensive 2-0 victory over Manchester City at White Hart Lane, had Spurs fans believing they could improve on last season’s third-place finish and maybe, just maybe, win the league for the first time since 1960-61.

Spurs have endured a bit of a tough run of late, winning one, losing one and drawing four. They’ve also been ousted from the Champions League.

Spurs have drawn as many games as they’ve won thus far. Should they continue in similar vein through to the end of the campaign, they’ll amass 72 points which would have seen them finish second last season. That point total has historically, since the 2004-05 Premier League, resulted in a top-four finish without fail.

Tottenham are unbeaten in their last six home ties, but are without a win on their travels in the last four, form they’ll need to improve to challenge for the title.

Harry Kane scores for Spurs

Tottenham are in a tough situation but have a stronger overall squad than Liverpool, especially now that Philippe Coutinho is injured.

They won’t have enough to win the league but are a great bet to finish in the top four once more. At +150, we highly recommend employing that bet.

Having netted five goals in eight league games this season, Harry Kane, even though he’s not at his best quite yet, has rediscovered his scoring touch. Kane is +1600 to finish as the Golden Boot winner, which looks like a great outside bet.

Having won the trophy on eight occasions, the FA Cup is a competition that Tottenham Hotspur fans look forward to each season. Spurs haven’t progressed past Round 5 since their semi-final appearance in 2011-12.

This year will be different. Gagging for silverware, Spurs are pegged at +1200 odds to win their ninth FA Cup even before the competition’s commencement. You should jump all over that bet the second you finish reading this article.

Find out who Spurs play next, take a look at their full schedule and heed some betting tips so you can make the most from your Tottenham bets.
