Tottenham VS Newcastle United Prediction

Tottenham VS Newcastle United Prediction on 25.08 EPL Match from 22BET

Newcastle United couldn’t have expected a worse start to the season than they are currently enduring. After losing to Arsenal, they were hammered at Norwich, and now they travel to Tottenham Hotspur, who will be looking to get back to winning ways after last week’s draw. 22BET sportsbook’s bet predictions online offers their wisdom on the possible outcome.

We dared and we did!

Tottenham VS Newcastle Preview

Steve Bruce was never the man that the fans’ wanted to lead Newcastle United into the 2019-20 season, and relations between the supporters and Bruce would have been thawed out much with two losses to start the new season. The Toon were unlucky in their opening day defeat against Arsenal, but their second game would have been an eye-opening affair about the troubles that potentially lie ahead this season.

The 3-1 defeat against Norwich City last time out was a disappointing afternoon for the Toon, and they were dominated from start to finish. A visit to Tottenham wouldn’t have been their ideal next fixture after that defeat, and Bruce would take a point if it was offered to him before kick-off. But, it would seem things will get worse before they begin to get better at Newcastle.

Mauricio Pochettino and his Tottenham Hotspur team would have come away from the Etihad last time out wondering how they managed to escape with a point. Manchester City dominated the play throughout, and a late VAR decision ensured that Spurs’ unbeaten start to the new season continued. Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura scored the goals on that afternoon for Tottenham, but it was hard to take any positives from the performance except that they didn’t lose.

Pochettino’s side is yet to hit top form this season, but he will be expecting to come out of Sunday’s game with a big win against a struggling Newcastle side. Harry Kane has already scored twice in August this season, which highlights the fact that the hoodoo has finally been broken, and the England captain will be confident of increasing his goals tally when the Geordies come to the New Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Head to Head Tottenham and Newcastle

Tottenham holds the clear advantage in the overall record between the sides having won on 70 occasions compared to Newcastle’s 58. There have also been 32 draws between the two sides. Last season’s meetings were both won by Spurs, with the previous fixture between the two ending in a 1-0 win for Tottenham. The Toon haven’t beaten Spurs since their 2-1 success at White Hart Lane in 2015, and you would be hard-pressed for thinking that will change this weekend.

Tottenham VS Newcastle United Prediction

The mood around Newcastle at the moment is pretty miserable, and fans will fear the worst for the remainder of the season. Tottenham meanwhile will be looking to get back to winning ways in their fight for a top-four finish. Kane will likely be among the goals this weekend in a big win for Pochettino’s side.

Tip: Tottenham Hotspur to win and over 2.5 goals at 2.05 with 22bet.co.uk - sports betting site.
