Premier League Chances

Spurs 16/1 to win the Premier League

The Cockerel Stands high above White Hart Lane

After the remarkable 6-1 win over Manchester United that brought an end to eight games played in three weeks, now seems to be the right time to take a look at just where Spurs stand in the betting odds for the 2020/21 season.

Jose Mourinho not only mastered his former side but guided Tottenham into the UEFA Europa League group stages and the Carabao Cup quarter-finals despite having to juggle his squad during the run of eight games in 21 days.

Not only do Spurs now have a guaranteed European campaign to look forward to as well as a quarter-final clash with Championship side Stoke in the Carabao Cup, we sit nicely in sixth place in the Premier League after two wins, a draw and a loss in the opening month of the season.

Freetips.com takes a look at where Tottenham stand in the betting markets:

To Win the Premier League (16/1)

It’s been a mixed start for most teams with Man City and Liverpool suffering heavy losses, while Everton have won all four games. Tottenham are now 16/1 fourth favourites behind City, Liverpool and Chelsea and have a real chance in the bookmakers’ eyes.

To Finish in the Top 4 (13/8)

A return to the UEFA Champions League via a top four Premier League finish is 13/8 to happen. Again, only Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea sit ahead of Spurs in the betting and this one looks a real likelihood for Mourinho’s men.

To Finish in the Top 6 (6/10)

It is odds-on that Tottenham will repeat last year’s top six finish and qualify for the UEFA Europa League at the very worst. Mourinho, like all Spurs fans, will want more. But don’t forget, you’ll even get paid out on this bet if Tottenham win the title.

To Be Relegated (100/1)

Even the most pessimistic Tottenham fans won’t seriously believe this will happen. But the odds are there for anyone wanting to bet against Spurs. Needing only 33 more points to get to the magical 40-point mark, it is no surprise that Tottenham are long 100/1 odds to be relegated from the Premier League. Never say never, but this isn’t happening.

Carabao Cup Winners (15/4)

Even Eric Dier needing a quick pit stop couldn’t stop Spurs reaching the Carabao Cup last eight. A penalty shootout win over Chelsea set up a quarter-final with Stoke and there is now a serious chance of lifting silverware in the League Cup. Spurs are 15/4 second favourites to win the Carabao Cup final behind favourites Man City.

FA Cup Winners (10/1)

It is a long way off yet, but Tottenham have been installed as the 10/1 sixth favourites to win this season’s FA Cup. Man City, Liverpool, Man United, Chelsea and Arsenal are ahead in the betting, but the romance of the cup will be something all Spurs fans will be dreaming about.

UEFA Europa League Winners (8/1)

A North London derby in the Europa League final anyone? That is what the betting suggests after Spurs came through qualifying comfortably to reach the group stages. Arsenal are favourites at 7/1, just ahead of Tottenham at 8/1. How good would it be to beat the Gunners in the final?
