Paolo Di Canio took advantage of poor Spurs defending to put us back into the danger zone. Di Canio had not impressed, as he was well marked by Sol Campbell, but after an error By Justin Ediburgh (covering for Clive Wilson) Di Canio scored his 12th goal of the season and stuck the ball away to give Wednesday the win.

Edinburgh was robbed by Hyde, whose shot was blocked by Berti, but Di canio followed up.

Pressman made a great save from Ruel Fox, who had been put in by superb Ginola skill. In added time a 25 yard shot by Amrstrong beat the Wednesday keeper, but not the post.

Spurs missed both Vega and Wilson in defence, and of course Jurgen Klinsmann with that jaw injury.
