Spurs Odyssey Reviews the Premiership Season
for 2005-2006 - Match 13

This week, I noticed:-

· Ruud Van Nistelrooy scored two goals. One was an exquisite control with his chest, turn and finish after a great chip from Rooney. The second was his first goal for Man Utd from outide the area!
· Peter Crouch has still not scored for Liverpool, despite being given the chance from a penalty, which was saved, before Zenden finished what he had started by being fouled in the first place!
· Kevin Phillips scored against his former club. (One of life's inevitabilities!)
· Stuart Pearce got impatient twice in the closing stages against Blackburn, and raced onto the field to hurry up dead ball situations as Blackburn tried to slow things down.
· West Brom scored as many goals in one game against Everton, as their opponents had in 13 games so far this season!
· Middlesbrough came from behind to beat Fulham, with one goal that was probably offside. Fulham's scorers didn't know who to celebrate in front of, as it looked like they only had about 28 of their own fans at The Riverside!
