Spurs Odyssey Reviews the Premiership Season
for 2005-2006 - Match 5

This week:-

Michael Owen failed to score on his debut at St. James' Park and tried to put a brave front on what a mistake he had made going to this ever under-achieving club. Graham Souness escaped another blasting after Owen's run to the edge of the box led to the free kick from which N'Zogbia equalised Fulham's shock lead.

Sunderland predictably lost to Chelsea, who predictably have yet to concede a goal, and who predictably are top of the league.

However, (unpredictably) Alan Curbishley's Charlton are taking the Premiership by storm so far with another 100% record, but guess who they play this week? Yes - it's Chelsea!

Duncan Ferguson scored at the wrong end; Alex Ferguson moaned about Man City getting too many men behind the ball, although he didn't mention his ex-player Andrew Cole nearly scoring a winner, which was only prevented by a great save by Van Der Saar.

Wigan won their second consecutive game, and are in the top half of the table! Bolton and Blackburn played out a dire draw in front of the Sky Sunday cameras. West Ham thrashed O'Dreary's Villa, who we play next Saturday tea-time.

There must be something I've forgotten....what is it? Oh yes - THE GOONERS LOST AGAIN! This tragedy was aggravated by the sad news that Terry Henry is out for four weeks. Oh woe.

COME ON YOU SPURS!!!!!!
