Spurs need 7 points from next three games.

My rudimentary Premier League Predictor programme says that Spurs will survive the relegation battle, despite a meagre points total of 36 points.

The predictor says that Spurs will win just 4 of their remaining 17 games. Those are the next two home games against Portsmouth and Stoke, and later games at home to Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion.

I have previously made the point that Spurs must get some points under their belt in their next games, rather than rely upon the season run-in. Why? Well our last five games include away fixtures at Old Trafford, Goodison Park and Anfield. We also have yet to play Arsenal and Chelsea at home.

My view is that 9 points from our next three games (Bolton away follows the Stoke game) is absolutely vital for Spurs to stand a real chance of survival. Let's say that 7 points might be a satisfactory return from those three games. Any other return, and I am sure the predictor will be saying something else about our chances.
