A very good week for Spurs
To say the very least, it has certainly been a good week for Spurs! All three matches we played were on the televsion, bringing our playing style and young, exciting players to the homes of so many people. The fact that we all felt disappointed with a draw at The Emirates says it all regarding how well we had performed for so much of that game. Mauricio Pochettino has it right when he says there is so much more for us to do in the long season ahead, beginning with two more london Derby matches (both at home) after the International break>
Spurs and their players have drawn plenty of positive and admiring comments from pundits, reporters and commentators. Let's have more of the same please!
It's been a good week for Mousa Dembele, Dele Alli and Harry Kane, to name just three of the players, all of whom have played well. Dembele is showing his finest form since signing for Spurs three years ago with two man of the match performances, and three grades over 7 out of 10. His highest grade was 7.8 on Sunday, but that wasn't enough to match that of the exciting 19 year old Dele Alli, who shows all the confidence and even cockiness of a star player. Alli won the Sky award, and won the Spurs Odyssey vote with his highest mark of the season so far (8.1).
Kyle Walker is at the top of his game. Alderweireld and Vertonghen remain immense in the middle for us, and Harry Kane has found his scoring boots, already third equal among this season's Premier league scorers with 5 of his 6 Premier League goals coming in his last three league games, and another against Anderlecht.
The difference in style between how we approached Sunday's Derby match is a massive contrast to that we will face on November 22nd, when West Ham come to The Lane. We play the "high press". West Ham get men behind the ball at home or away.
To the best of my knowledge, none of our players face crucial International games during this break, and hopefully they will be used sparingly, returning fit and raring to go next week. (I have been advised that Christian Eriksen's Denmark do face a tough play-off game against Sweden)
Personally, I can't wait for that West Ham game!

P.S - Shame about Chelsea losing again!
P.P.S - We have the third best goal difference in the Premier League!
