Spurs Odyssey Reviews the Premiership Season for 2015-2016 - Match 27
|
Match 27 - a few facts and figures
· Spurs have now gained a record number of points (54) after 27 matches in the Premier League era. The previous best was 53 points in 2011-12.
· Spurs have now won six consecutive Premier League games. The last time they managed this was also in the 2011-12 season. Should we win at Upton Park tomorrow, it will be the first time we have won seven consecutive league wins since the 1966-67 season, when we won 8 successive games.
· We have taken 17 points from losing positions this season, which is more than any other team in the Premier League.
· Spurs are the equal highest Premier League goalscorers (with Leicester), but we have the best goal difference by a margin.
· Spurs have 14 different goalscorers so far this season - more than any other team in the league!
· Danny Rose's winner was his first goal of the season, and his first since May last year, when we beat Hull 2-0. Nacer Chadli scored the other goal in that game too!
Christian Eriksen won your man of the match vote. It was his second winning vote of the season, and both were for his performances against Swansea!

Did you know? Not that we did it this year, but as it is a leap year, I thought I'd check to see when we last played a game on Leap year Day - February 29th. It was in 1964 when we beat Birmingham 2-1 with goals by Cliff Jones and Jimmy Greaves (penalty).
