More Harry Kane stats after Palace win
Man of the match Harry Kane has now scored 264 goals for Spurs, only two behind Jimmy Greaves’ club record. This was Harry's 300th Premier League appearance. That figure includes three appearances for Norwich when on loan in the 2012/13 season. Two of those Norwich appearances were against West Ham.
Kane has scored 15 goals in 18 Premier League games and is six behind Erling Haaland. He is just the second player - after Teddy Sheringham - to score on his 100th (Watford 01/01/17), 200th (West Ham 23/06/20) and 300th Premier League appearances. Harry's total of 198 goals is a record after 300 Premier League games. Alan Shearer had the old landmark with 196.
Harry moved level (12th equal) with the late Maurice Norman on 411 club appearances.
This was the sixth time we have scored four against Palace and the 4-0 scoreline matches two previous results. Firstly in a January 1987 FA Cup tie, and recently (in September 2019) in the Premier League when Son scored two of our goals. Son has now moved level with Teddy Sheringham in our Premier League goalscoring list on 97 goals.
This was the first time Spurs had opened the scoring in 11 games.
