Spurs have yet to lose a Premiership game to Bolton, after 6 meetings. Last season, the two sides played each other four times, meeting in both the Worthington Cup and FA Cup. Spurs beat them 6-0 in the Worthington Cup, then 4-0 in the F.A Cup, and yet Sam Allardyce's side put up more of a fight at the Lane (lost 3-2), and got a creditable draw at home in April.
Steffen Iversen scored in three out of the four games, and having scored a late goal for Norway last week-end, he will be hoping for a start this Sunday.
Since mysteriously beating Manchester United at Old Trafford for the second year running, the "Trotters" have lost their way, and failed to win. Farrelly scored a freak goal against Seaman at Highbury, and Djorkaeff scored a late equaliser at home against Southampton. Despite some useful foreign acquisitions, Bolton have not impressed yet again. Embarrassingly, they were knocked out of this year's Worthington Cup by lowly Bury at the Reebock Stadium. Chris Armstrong is of course, on their books, but is highly unlikely to figure in this game.
I predict a 3-1 win for Spurs, and hope for the flying Welsh wizard, Simon Davies, to score for us, with Robbie Keane to get his first home goal.
