Spurs travel to the new City of Manchester Stadium for the first time, and they will travel in a more confident frame of mind thanks to their convincing win over Coventry on Wednesday night. This match is a different kettle of fish though, and the league positions above tell the tale of the gap in early season form of these two sides.
City have lost only to Arsenal so far, whilst Spurs have managed just one league win, and that over struggling Leeds. In fact the two records are almost asymetrical, when you look at City's 14 goals scored and the 12 conceded by Spurs under Glenn Hoddle.
Anelka and Wanchope will cause the Spurs defence plenty of problems, but this is a typical Keegan side - very attractive and full of flair going forward, but also highly vulnerable at the back. This is where the Spurs duo of Keane and Kanoute can cause a bit of mayhem themselves. The key, as in a lot of games, will be in midfield, and although David Pleat changed the formation for Coventry, there is no guarantee that he will stick to 4 in the middle (although I fancy he will), and I also suspect that Blondel will make way for Ricketts after Rohan's marvellous 30 minutes at Highfield Road.
Maybe the Spurs side will be otherwise unchanged, but whoever appears I do fancy a few goals in this game, and I'll for a 2-2 draw
