Man Utd v Spurs - Latest Team News 08.09.06
Martin Jol has confirmed the absence of Dimitar Berbatov from the Spurs squad travelling to Manchester for tomorrow's big game at Old Trafford.
Other omissions from the squad include Young-Pyo Lee, and Teemu Tainio, both of whom played two International games during the last two weeks, and are too tired to travel. In Lee's case he is suffering some jet-lag, having travelled to Korea to play for his team.
Lee was not a likely starter anyway, as Pascal Chimbonda will make his Spurs debut - probably to face Ryan Giggs on the United wing. Giggs of course is one of the rare band of players who have featured in every Premiership season, and in Giggs' case it has been for one team - a truly marvellous record.
Jermain Defoe will play a part in the game, despite his two games for England. Jol said he was looking very sharp. The lean and mean Mido travels too. The full squad has yet to be announced, but a possible starting line-up is Robinson; Chimbonda, Dawson, King (capt.), Ekotto; Lennon, Jenas, Zokora, Davids; Mido, Keane
