One goal will seal it!

Zagreb coach Zoran Mamic stood down on Monday following the confirmation of a 4 year 8 month jail sentence imposed for fraud. The offences by Mamic (not the only offender) related to monies siphoned off out of transfer fees received for various players. I believe our own former player Luka Modric was one of those who fell within the scope of this investigation, but he was exonerated of any involvement. Mamic's assistant Damir Krznar takes over for this game being played in Dinamo's Stadion Maksimir which has a capacity of some 35,000, but of course will have no fans present tomorrow. Knowing the usual fanatic support of many East European sides, their absence will be a benefit to Spurs. We have a two-goal advantage, and if we can score just one goal (the sooner the better), the tie will surely be beyond the Croatian side.

Spurs fans know better than to take any result for granted, and we have to travel without the injured Heung-min Son and the suspended Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who rather foolishly got booked last week in his short time on the field of play. Perhaps that was even on purpose, to clear him for a potential quarter-final tie. The odds are he would not have been involved in this game, with another important Premier League game at Villa Park to come on Sunday.

Those who think Spurs might field a weakened side might think again as Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Kane "will play". The manager has also confirmed that Giovani Lo Celso is ready to play. We can surely expect to see something of Gio, who has been absent since 20th December.

Dele Alli, Matt Doherty and Davinson Sánchez are all players who would miss the first leg of the quarter-final, should we qualify, and if they were to get booked tomorrow. Sanchez might get a rest tomorrow anyway, having played 90 minutes in each of our last five games. I'd prefer Doherty to play tomorrow and save Serge Aurier for Sunday with Grealish possibly returning for that game. Joe Rodon is illegible, so we might see Alderweireld and Dier in the middle tomorrow. Erik Lamela is suspended on Sunday, so can surely start this game.

Ben Davies has started every one of our 12 Europa league games this season (qualifiers included) and captained the side in of those matches. Now aged 27, Ben was signed from Swansea in 2014, making his Spurs debut in a Europa League game away to AEL Limassol in August 2014. That was the first of what now amounts to 51 European appearances for Spurs, which includes 20 Champions League games. Apart from friendlies, I think this season was the first time we saw Ben playing at centre-back on occasions, where he has performed well and thus demonstrated versatility.

Ben has now made 147 Premier League appearances for Spurs and has made 226 appearances in all. He has had to alternate with the likes of Danny Rose at the start of his Spurs career, and now Sergio Reguilon, of course. Ben won a League Cup winner's medal with Swansea in 2013, when they beat Bradford 5-0. We were knocked out by Norwich in October that season in case you were wondering! Ben played in 7 Europa League games for Swansea in the 2013-14 season. He is also a veteran of 58 Wales International matches, making his debut against Scotland in 2012. I expect to see Ben Davies in our starting line-up tomorrow!

In front of the Spurs defence, I expect to see Sissoko and Winks. The front four could be Bale, Lamela, Bergwijn and of course Harry Kane.

Our opponents had a nice 5-0 away win against second from bottom club Varazdin on Sunday, and unsurprisingly still top their league. Their scorers were Atiemwen, Misic, Gavranovic and Orsic (2), three of which were seen in action in last week's game.

An early goal for the home side would ensure a testing game for Spurs. Let's hope we can score an early goal and enjoy a relaxing and convincing overall win. I'll go for another 2-0 Spurs win. The match kicks off at 5.55pm UK time and will be shown on BT SPORT.

Referee Davide Massa and his officials are all from Italy. Signor Massa is another new official for us this season. He has been in charge of high profile European and International games, such as Portugal v Croatia, Chelsea v Sevilla, and Olympiacos v Manchester City.

The draw for both the quarter-finals and semi-finals will be made on Friday (19th March) at 12 noon UK time. Quarter-final games are scheduled for 8th and 15th April.
