So many good things about Tottenham Hotspur!
Have a listen to the audio clip provided here, courtesy of TalkSport and Audioboom. Kyle Walker talks about the togetherness and spirit in the team; the "good vibe" about the place; the English factor in the team, and everybody "playing with a smile on their face".
Have a read of just a few of the positive comments about our team this week by voters in our Spurs Odyssey survey:-
"In my 50 years of watching Spurs I have never seen a Spurs team work harder than they did today. Fantastic effort"
"This team is becoming very exciting to watch with a great understanding between the players. Never stopped running and part from one mistake, the defence again looked really solid."
"Great Display Brilliant to a Man, or is that "Boy" ? :p"
"That display was the best exposition of Poch's tactics that we have yet seen, since his tenure began. Outstanding."
"Starting Son was a game winner"
So many good things are being written and said about our team. There is actually plenty I could add to the comments above. I've read or seen more than one comment suggesting that Son was our man of the match. Sky gave it to Harry Kane, not just for his goal-scoring, but for his all-round game. However Kane was narrowly beaten in the Spurs Odyssey vote by Mousa Dembele, surely in the form of his life, and now Spurs Odyssey's man of the match for the third time in four games, and the fourth time in the last seven.
Long may the good vibe; the smiles; the goals, and the wins continue, starting on Sunday against Chelsea!
The "Like for Like" chart has been updated, and shows that we are 10 points better off than in the corresponding games last year. (But not the first 13 games of the season - see below).
Last year, after 13 matches played, we had 20 points and were in seventh place, two places behind West Ham. It's great to be secure in fifth place, and regarded as genuine top four contenders, and perhaps even title contenders. However, as Kyle Walker says, we've got to keep our feet on the ground!
P.S:- This time last year, Chelsea were top with 33 points, so they are 19 points worse off, and still 10 points behind us. Happy Days!
