Spurs were already without the likes of Edwards, Owens, Tangana, Brown and Oduwa lost Amos and Harrison to injury before travelling to Germany.

Spurs began their Group against Dutch side PSV on a bright chilly morning. Spurs lined up with Glover in goal behind Mukena and Walkes with Duncan at right back and Tsaroulla on the left. Marsh sat in front of them with Stylianides alongside him behind Goddard flanked by Tracey on the right and Georgiou on the left in support of Loft up front.
Spurs defended the East end in the first half of 25 minutes. Tracey played in Marsh for an early chance that was saved before Van der Moot saw his effort blocked for a corner. Loft was pulled back when he made a break from the corner which saw the Dutch player booked.
Eindhoven fired over from a corner before Rommens drew a save from Glover. Goddard saw his effort deflected for a corner from which Walkes attempt was blocked.
Both sides made early changes in the second half. Sterling replaced Loft up front and Bennetts took over from Tracey on the right. From a Goddard free kick Mikkelsen saved Walkes header. A free kick by Georgiou on the right was half cleared to Marsh, who drew a save from the keeper. Marsh was replaced by Roles before Glover saved from Verrath. The last chance fell to Walkes at a corner when his header was cleared off the line.

Spurs lined up with McDermott in goal behind Maghoma and Walkes with Muscatt at right back and Georgiou on the left. Marsh anchored the midfield with Roles alongside him with Goddard ahead of them flanked by Tracey on the right and Bennetts on the left in support of Oteh up front.
Spurs defended the West end in the first half which saw the German side try to over-power the Spurs players. Benger headed over from a free kick before Goddard hit a free kick over the bar. Tracey had an effort blocked before Simakala had a shot wide and a free kick fly over.
Roles had an effort blocked from a corner which led to another which saw Oteh fire over. Schutz fired wide from a corner just before the break.
Spurs made the breakthrough early in the second half when Georgiou collected a short corner on the goal line and put a cross into the near post for Maghoma to turn in.
Spurs replaced Oteh with Loft before Baller hit his free kick over the bar. Following a double change by Borussia, Spurs made their second change, replacing Goddard with Stylianides with Roles moving forward.
Bennetts broke clear for a one on one with the keeper that he lost as Nicolas was quickly out to save. Bennetts was then replaced by Sterling. Ferlings had a shot blocked with the rebound falling to Simakala but McDermott saved. Mukena replaced Muscatt before Stylianides got to the line pulling the ball back for Loft to fire wide.
Loft got through for a one on one with Nicolas but the keeper was out quickly to save. Spurs closed the game out with Loft booked for kicking the ball away and Roles also went into the ref's book for a foul.
The Japan High School selection beat Fortuna Dusseldorf on Thursday evening 3-2 and won their second game today 2-0 over PSV while the other game in the group saw Borussia Monchengladbach beat Fortuna 2-0 to leave the Group B table looking like this:=

Sunday will see the rest of the group games with Spurs playing the group leaders at 2pm and finishing against Fortuna Dusseldorf at 6.30pm
