For the record - Premier League match 29
Goalscorers are so often the players who catch the eye of those who watch football, and that also applies to those who vote in the Spurs Odyssey post-match surveys. It is no different this week, because Harry Kane just edged Toby Alderweireld for your man of the match vote against Arsenal.
I would argue that neither player offered as much as they have in so many other games. Alderweireld had a difficult game against Danny Welbeck, who was making only his second Premier League start of the season for Arsenal.
Harry Kane's fantastic goal will be in the running for the March goal of the month vote, I am sure, and is certainly one of our goals of the season so far. Harry has now scored in his last three Premier League games against Arsenal.
Arsenal and Man City are playing "catch-up" against Spurs, but we have to consider our position five points behind Leicester. Their fixtures include matches against teams fighting relegation, such as Newcastle and Sunderland; and away games against Man Utd and Chelsea. We also have to play against Man Utd at home, and Chelsea away, along with Liverpool away.
The show isn't over "till the fat lady sings" as they say.
Finally, do you remember that record regarding Aaron Lennon, who never lost a game in which he scored for either Spurs or Everton? Well, that record came to an end this week-end, when he scored against West Ham, but they came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2. Aaron has scored 5 league goals for "The Toffees" already this season, which is more than he scored in any season for Spurs since 2008-09.
